Interview with Iosist
Posted on Aug 19, 2007 by DevotedToMusic
Iosist are UK band with a lot of potential to become the next Lamb of God or Trivium. They consist of 4 guys wanting to show you a Rocking time!
With tracks such as Adonai, No light and many more, you will sure want to mosh till you drop!
I Alexandra McLoughlin caught up with Randy for a chat about the band:

Introduce yourselves…
We are Iosist we consist of 5 members but down to 4 at the moment; Dick, Stef, Mike and Randy.
How long have you been together?
We have been going about 2 years now but a year officially.
Where are you from?
All from surrey based.
You are working on some new music at the moment. What is it going to sound like?
Yes we are currently writing a new ep which will have 5 tracks or more should be a more heavy meaningful aggressive
and progressive sound.
How would you describe your music?
An expression of everyday trauma based on aggression and discomfort not based on relationship crap as many bands do we personally don’t like songs about relationship problems.
What is the largest crowd you have played to?
We will find out tomorrow which will be 2300 apart from that about 300.
What is the worst injury you have suffered on stage?
I don’t think anyone has had any injuries but mike pulled a tendon (Laughs).
Have you had any crazy fan experiences yet?
Stefan the bass player got harassed by a girl after a gig asking if she could take his fingers home and when he told her to F***k off she then asked for a lock of his hair.
You are looking for a new guitarist. What happened to the one who left?
Well old josh decided to leave it really oppressed the bands progress he decided to leave because he wanted a different direction in his musical career.
Any luck finding a new one yet?
Various auditions but no luck. We are still looking for the perfect amount of good personality commitment and determination.
How has 2007 been treating you so far?
Pretty well just got new equipment new drums a few gigs and getting down to some songs.
I have noticed that you all have very similar influences. Is this one of the reasons you click so well?
I would say so even though we think that a mixture of influences is better there are disagreements though with different tastes in bands.
Are you playing any festivals this year?
Yes we are indeed we are playing the ministry of sound (midday to midnight) where they spelt our name wrong in the all of the leaflets and put us on first unfortunately.
Finally is there anything else you would like to add?
We appreciate anyone who has taken the time to read this any one who has listened to our music and just the general support that our fans have given us it has been an honour to be interviewed.
