Interview with Patchwork Grace
Posted on Apr 20, 2007 by DevotedToMusic
Patchwork Grace are a bubblegum trash rock from England, signed to BUT! Records. Their debut single 'Zebra', was HMV SINGLE OF THE WEEK for 3 weeks running here in England.
I Alexandra McLoughlin caught up with Crip for a quick interview.

Who designed the Patwork Grace Logo ?
Crip-Daz from Binger Creative came up with that. He's also the lead singer of DIP, which explains why it's so funky!
We wanted a CD cover designing for our 'Zebra' EP....and that's what he came up with, but we thought....FUCK IT, let's use it as a logo!! We've actually used an edited version for our upcoming 'Zebra' single, so people will hopefully recognise the logo and buy it!
Well...that's the plan!
Why did you name the EP Zebra?
It was named 'Zebra' because we couldn’t think of a better name, and the Track 'Zebra' was the lead track!
It's been re-mastered now as it's being released as a single with a brand new B-Side!
Changing the subject to gigs…what does it feel like when you get up on stage ?
When you come on stage and there’s a few hundred screaming your name, it's an AMAZING feeling, I wouldn't swap it for anything! You then have to hope everything in the set goes well and nothing breaks! It's pretty amazing!!
It never used to happen in the early days; only about 20 people would show up. But then, after self releasing an EP more people took interest and gig attendances were amazing!
WOW. It must make you feel loved too! What’s the largest crowd you have played to ???
Largest crowd....I can't remember!
The Park Hall Live festival sold out last year, I think that’s about 500 people. Ask me again in a few years, hopefully we'll add some Zero's onto that!
Will you play Download in the near future?
Download?
I hope so, but don't count on it!
Finally…what’s next for Patwork Grace ?
Hopefully an album, and a world tour!!
We've got to see what happens with the single....hopefully it does well so we won't get dropped!!!!! it's a crazy business!
