The band came together over the fall of 2004, when four young musicians from Samnanger (outside Bergen, Norway), went to the same parties weekend after weekend.
Suddenly one night, wasted as we were, an idea of starting a new punkrock band didn't seem so retarded. After the split of two bands, Thomas (from McDolly) joined Tore, Roger and Bjarte (from Mogg Maniacs) and formed 50shots!
From our very first practice we felt the chemistry and knew that our music would be all about high energy, catchy tunes.
In the Spring of 2005 we recorded our first demo, which received positive feedback and attention.
After a pocketful of shows, we signed up for the “Eggstock festival”, which is Bergen biggest contest for unsigned rockbands. We came 3rd.
In the Summer of 2005, we recorded our first EP. After many hours with pain and whining, perfect harmony was produced. Release date, 8th of september 2005.
During 2005 50Shots held 20 successful gigs across Norway, a very decent number for a band who has only been playing for a year.
We've also recorded two videos, Burning Out and Regrets, Burning Out currently being aired on Norwegian television.
We expect great things to happen during 2006, and we are bound to do even more gigs due to being in very high demand.
