Band Profile: Airbag
Added on Apr 15, 2004
Airbag return one more time with a new CD full of melodies and power, 14 new pills of Punk Pop vitamins, just as always. Songs of less than 2 minutes and which lyrics are short stories and memories of the teenage years which makes everybody feel identified with them. We hear some more juvenile traumas in “Big Aquarium”, “Me estrelle contra su casa” or “Las cintas al sol se destruyen”… We hear more about surfing with songs such as “El gran Jueves”… And we hear more about B-movies with “Peliculas de miedo” and “Ciencia Explosiva”. Absurd yet realistic subjects such as “encerrado en el bar”, Girls from outer space in “Ensamble Cohetes”… Going from Punk to Pop, and from Pop to Punk in their cover of “Trhow that beat in the garbage can”, And yet again they look back to the sixties with the “Hollies” cover. “Mafia Rusa en la costa del sol” is a satirist and ironic and realistic about the Russian Mafia in their’ area. You will also find more stories about new girls, wild parties, video games etc…
