ABSTRACT
50 Percent OFF is a skatecore band consisting of five people: Martin (vox), Maarten (guitar&backing vox), Jelle (guitar), Peter (bass) and last but not least Jordy (drums).
HISTORY
In the late winter of 2003 and early spring of 2004 Jelle and Martin (Fluxx) were rehearsing new material for a new-to-form band. In the late spring of 2004 a steady band was established after they asked Maarten and Peter (Wipeouts) to join. When Jordy (Sunnydale) joined in the band was completed. As a struck of lightening the name '50 Percent OFF' came up and the group started their first recording session.
MUSIC
The idea is a ferm basis of skate music with hardcore and metal influences built upon it, vocals both melodic as agressive. Ofcourse, 50 Percent OFF just started out, so it's obvious the band is still in the process of growing towards their own sound. Let's see how things will work out in the future...
