Band Profile: All Against The World

AATW started in Gaia, Portugal in the summer of 2001 with a line up composed by members of P.D.S., Decline and July13. At that time the band praticed a melodic punk-hardcore inspired by swedish and californian winds. In April of 2002, after a good amount of shows, they recorded their first demo at Line-in studios with João Pereira. The three songs that were part of it gave them shows a little everywhere in the country and two mainstage performances at the Iberic’s best venue: Hardclub.
In the summer of 2003 the band decided to put shows in stand by and update their set. Some changes were made in the band’s line up that started to sound more agressive, exploring more their hardcore side. Their sound can now be described as a mix of oldschool hardcore with punk influences without fitting in exactly any movement. All against the world is neither a straight edge or drunks band,they have straight edge and none straight edge members and their sound and message try to direct people eyes and thoughts to their routine, their concepts of whats right or wrong, their beliefs and make themselves be heard always in a positive way.
In December of 2003 they went to Morgue studios and recorded, with Mário Pereira by their side, five new songs. After the recording session the five bastards were back on the road conquering citys all over Portugal and Spain while promoting their new mcd “Building the bridge to a better place...”,released by PRP records, sharing the stage with bands such as Comeback kid, Champion, No turning back, Downslide,Take it back, Pointing finger, Day of the dead, Aside, More than a thousand, New winds, Simbiose and many others. Those songs were also feautured in many compilations worldwide.
Now the band is working on new tracks to release in the beggining of 2005 followed by an European tour to promote them.
